Where the data comes from
Live deal prices are sourced from CheapShark and Steam, which list offers across PC storefronts in real time. Game details - names, covers, genres, release dates - come from IGDB. Hoard is not affiliated with or endorsed by Valve, Steam, or any listed store. Prices are shown in USD and refresh regularly; always confirm the final price on the store before buying.
Cookies & privacy
We keep data to a minimum. A sign-in session uses a strictly-necessary cookie (HTTP-only, secure, SameSite=Lax); your account stores only your email and the games you follow. These are essential to make sign-in and your wishlist work.
To understand how the site is used we use PostHog (EU-hosted). By default this is cookieless: nothing is stored on your device, you're not identified, and you're not tracked across other websites. Your IP address is used only to estimate your approximate location (country) and is never used to identify you. This runs on a legitimate-interest basis to give us aggregate, anonymous usage stats.
If you accept optional analytics cookies, we additionally remember your device between visits (using local storage, not a third-party cookie) for more accurate stats. That part is consent-based - decline and we stay cookieless. Either way we do not record your screen, fingerprint your device, or share anything with other sites.
